The Food Bank of Northern Nevada Impact Ambassadors program brings together neighbors, friends, and community members who want to do more than donate or volunteer – they want to inspire others, advocate for change, and help ensure every family in their community has the food they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
Ambassadors are a community of changemakers using their voices, creativity, and connections to help spread awareness, inspire giving, and bring more full plates to the table.
Everyone has a place in the movement. Some may be tapped to join the Ambassador Council to work directly with the Food Bank’s Board of Directors on special projects and initiatives, but all are invited to make an impact in their own way.
No matter your age, background, or platform, you can make a real and lasting difference for neighbors facing hunger.

Help Us Build a Movement
This is a brand-new program, and the first group of Ambassadors will play a critical role in shaping its future. As a founding Ambassador, you’re not just joining a program; you’re helping spark a grassroots movement to fight hunger in your community. As part of the founding class, you’ll:
- Shape the vision for how Impact Ambassadors take action in our community
- Collaborate with the Food Bank team – including our Board of Directors – on initiatives and projects that make a real difference
- Inspire and mobilize others by sharing your ideas, creativity, and energy
This is your chance to turn passion into action and help build something from the ground up. Together, we’ll create a program that reflects the needs, energy, and spirit of our community – and a movement that grows stronger with each Ambassador.
Meet Our Chief Ambassador
The Impact Ambassadors program is guided by the energy and inspiration of our Chief Ambassador, Kevin Ashton (@oldscoolkevmo). Known as the “Bob Ross of Cooking” to millions online, Kevin is passionate about using his platform to shine a light on hunger in Nevada.
“It breaks my heart that 1 in 5 of our children in Nevada don’t have access to the nutritious food they need. This partnership is my chance to inspire and encourage Nevadans to roll up their sleeves with me and work to make sure no child goes without a healthy meal.”
Kevin’s leadership helps bring visibility to this grassroots movement – and now we’re looking for community members like you to join him in creating change

The Impact Ambassadors program is open to individuals age 16 and older. If you are under 18, parentaly/guardian permission is required before your participation can begin.
