Help us Turn OuR region Orange
Orange is the color of hunger awareness, and throughout September, we’re asking our community to help us shine a light on hunger.
From local landmarks and businesses to homes and neighborhoods, let’s turn northern Nevada orange and show our neighbors we’re committed to building a community where everyone has access to nutritious food.
Hunger Action Day: September 29
September 29 is Hunger Action Day, a national day of action during Hunger Action Month.
Join us by wearing orange and sharing why you’re passionate about helping end hunger in our community. Take a photo, post it on social media, and tag the Food Bank of Northern Nevada (foodbanknn) so we can see your posts and help spread the word.
Look for Orange All Month Long
Check out these local landmarks as they light up orange in recognition of Hunger Action Month:
Circus Circus: September 1 – 9
Atlantis Fountain: September 29
And you can join in, too! Light up your home, business, storefront, or office in orange to show your support and help shine a light on hunger in our community.

Use Your Voice
Every day, families, seniors, veterans, and students make difficult choices just to put food on the table. Help raise awareness about hunger in our community. Share what you learn, talk with your friends and family, and help others understand why access to nutritious food for all matters.
Make a Difference.
This Hunger Action Month, let’s show what’s possible when we come together – as neighbors, as volunteers, as advocates, as donors, as friends.
When you take action – whether it’s giving your time, sharing your resources, or speaking up – you’re part of a community that believes no one should face hunger alone. Together, we can create lasting change – not just this September, but all year long.
Volunteer, donate, advocate, and make a difference today.
