The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is excited to once again be part of PBS Reno’s Be My Neighbor Day, a free, family-friendly event celebrating kindness, community, and what it means to be a good neighbor.

Bring the whole family and stop by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada booth! We’ll have fun, interactive activities for kids and families, opportunities to learn how we’re nourishing our neighbors across northern Nevada, and a chance to support our Be My Neighbor Food Drive.
Be My Neighbor Food Drive
Kindness starts with caring for our neighbors. Help us stock our shelves by bringing non-perishable food donations to the event. Every donation stays local and helps provide nutritious meals for children, families, and seniors throughout northern Nevada and the eastern California Sierra.
Most Needed Items
- Peanut butter
- Canned tuna or chicken
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Canned soup or chili
- Pasta and rice
- Oatmeal and whole grain cereal
- Shelf-stable milk
No donation is too small. Every can, box, and bag helps nourish our community.
A Day of Family Fun
Hosted by PBS Reno, Be My Neighbor Day brings together local organizations for a day of hands-on activities, entertainment, and opportunities to learn how we can all make our communities stronger. Families can enjoy interactive exhibits, meet community helpers, participate in engaging activities, and even meet Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat!
We hope you’ll join us for a day of fun, connection, and community. Be sure to stop by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada booth to say hello, participate in our activities, and help make a difference for neighbors facing hunger.
