PLEASE NOTE: Food distributions are not held at the Food Bank’s warehouse. If you are in need of food assistance, we ask that you review the resources listed here or call with questions about locations and schedules for distributions. We may not be able to accommodate requests for food assistance from those who arrive at the Food Bank warehouse.
KIDS CAFe | Fall Break Schedule
During Fall Break, October 6–10, meals will be available at the following locations and times:
- North Valleys Library: 11:30AM–12:00PM, Mon–Fri
- Sparks Library: 12:15–12:45PM, Mon–Fri
- Downtown Reno Library: 11:30AM–12:00PM, Mon–Thu
- Mariposa Academy: Snack 8:30–9AM, Lunch 12:00–12:30PM, Mon–Fri
- Jessie Beck: Snack 8:30–9AM, Lunch 12–12:30PM, Mon–Fri
The regular Kids Cafe Dinner Program schedule will resume after Fall Break.
KIDS CAFE DINNER IS BACK!
Free meals for kids.
School is back in session, but kids ages 2–18 can still count on free, nutritious meals after school through our Kids Cafe Dinner Program! There are no registration or income requirements, just nutritious meals to help the kids in our community stay fueled for SCHOOL.
Please note:
- Meals are served on weekdays during the school year
- All meals must be eaten on-site
- Children do not need to attend after-school programming to receive a meal
- Meals may also be available during school breaks

Non-citizens and their family members may be eligible to participate in several programs operated by the Food and Nutrition Service, including meals for kids. Kids Cafe Summer meals
When school is out and summer is in full gear, the Kids Cafe Summer Meals Program serves meals at community centers throughout the Reno/Sparks and rural areas.
- Meals are available at no charge for all children and youth ages 2-18.
- Children do not have to attend any after school programming being offered at the time of meal service in order to be served.
- Meals need to be eaten on-site.
