The Food Bank has the pleasure and privilege of working with so many amazing businesses and partners in this area. One of our great partners who always finds new and inventive ways to get us food and support, has a shining star that we’d like to highlight and recognize. Bruce Quinlan, was awarded the company’s Global All-Star Award an award which is only handed out to one Store Team Leader throughout the entire company’s 270 plus stores.
Whole Foods Market recognizes the best of the best in their company as “All*Stars” at both the regional and global levels. They are a company that places tremendous emphasis on team performance and results, but the annual All*Star process is our opportunity to recognize and acknowledge the incredible contributions of the outstanding individuals who are instrumental to their overall success. As their company grows larger each year, this recognition becomes even more significant. The global winners’ pictures are published in InnerViews and posted on our public website (wholefoodsmarket.com) and the Team Member Network, and the winners themselves are recognized at the Global All*Star Dinner and Ceremony. This year’s event is being held in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada) on Sunday, March 7, 2010.
Bruce Quinlan, ran one of the best Wild Oats stores in that company, and handled the transition to Whole Foods Market with grace and openness. While accepting what Whole Foods Market brings, he’s been a fierce advocate for the best of what Wild Oats did and for his community. When given the opportunity to lead the Reno Whole foods store, Bruce became one of the most innovative Store Team Leaders in the region. His store is consistently at or near the best performers in the region around labor control, discretionary expense control and retail excellence, and his Team Members are always friendly and engaged in delivering great customer service.
The team at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada congratulates Bruce and all of the team at Whole Foods Market for making the Reno store the success that it is.
